About Acid Stain

Acid stains are chemical reactive metallic salts which seek out and react with the lime in the concrete. They can be manipulated, but not controlled and anticipated, but not guaranteed. Our color chart shows typical color reactions. However, every slab is different. Every pour of concrete will react independently to the stains. All elements and circumstances affect the outcome of the floors. Temperature, humidity, age of concrete, batch of stain, batch mix design of concrete, accelerators, fly ash, wind, etc. all contribute to the outcome of the floors. Exact colors and stain patterns cannot be achieved. It is fundamental that all parties involved understand this.

Acid staining gives concrete a mottled, variegated, marble-like look. The process creates unique, beautiful colors on concrete. Most popular stains are earth toned. However we can create custom colors by mixing and matching the available colors to fit your own personal taste and style. The possibilities are endless and every floor truly is one of a kind!

Never expect acid stain to be uniform or have an even tone (as the look of natural stone does not), youll get different reactions for slab to slab, and even on the same project you may see different coloration patterns. Its unique qualities are what make acid stained concrete so desirable.

Reflector Enhancer is a micro particle resin manufactured to exact angular precision to reflect and refract light to create a natural metallic or aged stone look on seamless epoxy floors. Reflector Enhancer will refract light differently on different colored surfaces. It doesn't change the color of the epoxy, it changes how light reflects colors off itself and the underlying primed surface. And will appear to slightly "phase" from shade to shade when viewed from different areas or under varying light intensity, colors, or angles of view. Reflector Enhancer flooring systems easily creates unbelievable colors and mottled patterning that cannot be achieved with any other flooring or staining processes but can be applied to match virtually any surrounding architecture or design.
